Right after graduating from high school, JoLane
moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of becoming a comedic
actress. She fell in love with the California beaches and quickly
started booking small modeling jobs. Soon after that she received
her first acting role in the beautiful and artistically shot black
and white Independent Film, Bad Apples. A number of films followed
including B.A.P.S. with Halle Berry, Out in Fifty with Mickey
Rourke and Kevin Connolly’s (Entourage) directorial debut
short film, Whatever We Do, starring Robert Downey Jr. & Tim
Roth. She also had the pleasure of working on the TV series Party
of Five, where she was cast to play Jeremy London’s love
interest replacing Neve Campbell in it’s sixth season until
producers decided to end the series and wrap up the story line
and brought Neve back. As well as having a recurring role on Days
Of Our Lives, she has also appeared in a long list of commercials
including the 7UP campaign with Orlando Jones, John Cleese in
an Icelandic Bank commercial and Davey Jones with celebrity sport
all stars in an ESPN commercial.
Always having an interest in Broadcasting, an
opportunity presented itself too good to pass up when she was
offered the job of hosting a funny news segment on Playboy Radio’s
morning talk show, ‘The Morning Show” on Sirius Satellite
Radio. She researched her own material, wrote her own copy and
reported the funny, strange and odd news happening from around
the globe, daily to an audience of 3 million listeners. She quickly
gained the attention of Playboy executives and was asked to pose
in the magazine for a pictorial of the girls of Playboy Radio,
which she graciously declined.
She then went on to a cause that was close to
her heart; co-hosting and producing a live InternetTV talk format
show called Green Health Live. Each week, along with her two co-hosts,
Marc Ryan, a doctor of Chinese Medicine and actor Thomas Calabro,
from the TV series Melrose Place, would interview experts or celebrities
on the topics of alternative medicine or the green environmental
movement.
You can see JoLane in a hilarious scene in the
movie Knuckle Draggers alongside actor Ross McCall (Crash TV series,
Band of Brothers) due out in 2010. She is also working on a web
series entitled, Here And Now, starring Judd Nelson.
She has a 16 ½ year old Chow/Lab mix dog
named Jake, is an avid animal lover and enthusiast and is currently
working on hosting/producing an animal show. She is also concerned
about the environment and is involved in ways to save the planet
and preserve it for future generations.
